The Turover Aid Society

I am seeking information about the First Turover Aid Society (Erster Turover Unt.[erstizung] Verein) that was founded in 1903 in New York.  I am also seeking information about the Turover Aid Society (Turver Unterstizung Verein) that was founded on Jan. 24, 1910 in Detroit, Michigan.  I am working with Dr. Leonid Smilovitsky of the Diaspora Research Center in Israel who is writing a book on the town of Turov and is including a section on the American immigrants that came from Turov.

Read about the Turov Cemetery Project to restore the cemetery in the town of Turov.  There are also pictures of the cemetery on this page.
